AAR launches emergency support for Ukrainian refugees

AAR Japan [Association for Aid and Relief, Japan] launches an emergency fundraising campaign to support Ukrainian refugees who have fled Russia's military invasion of Ukraine to neighboring countries. Thank you for your cooperation.

On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin unilaterally approved the "independence" of the pro-Russian region in eastern Ukraine. On February 24, he launched a military invasion of Ukraine. In addition to attacks on military facilities, many civilians have been killed in the region. Many Ukrainian refugees have already crossed the border overland to Poland and other countries to the west to escape the chaos. It is predicted that 3 to 5 million refugees will flow into European Union area.

AAR gathers information mainly in Eastern Europe to provide emergency assistance to Ukrainian refugees. It will start humanitarian assistance activities in cooperation with local organizations. We would like to ask for your understanding and cooperation.
